The Yorkton Terriers season came to an end Sunday night as the La
Ronge Ice Wolves swept the Terriers in three straight games after a 7-0
win in Game 3. The win moves La Ronge on to face the Melfort Mustangs in
the SJHL Quarterfinal round and the Terriers end their season.
The Terriers will be hosting their annual year end awards banquet
Sunday March 20th at the Gallagher Centre National Bank room upstairs on
the second floor. The Terriers will be celebrating the end of Kailum
Gervais's five year's with the hockey club. Along with all the 2015-16
season award winners to be announced.
The banquet will begin at 5:30PM with cocktails and dinner at 6:30PM.
The awards presentation and jersey auctions will follow the dinner.
Benny Walchuk will be the evenings MC as he was the Terriers play by
play announcer through GX94 this season.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Mark's Terriers Locker in
the Gallagher Centre Lobby. The office hours this week are 10:00AM to
12:00PM and 1:00PM to 5:00PM. Tickets must be purchased no later than
Thursday at noon.
A reminder to for all people interested in the 2016 Yorkton Terrier
Lotto that the early bird draw is Tuesday March 22nd at 7:00PM and the
deadline to qualify for the early bird draw is Saturday March 19 at
9:00PM.
