Stamps beat Winkler in shootout; Mils shutout Klippers Again

The Swan Valley Stampeders snapped their short 2 game losing streak beating the Winkler Flyers 3-2 in the shootout.

Stamps' dman Garrett Johnston would open the scoring in the 1st period on the powerplay as his long shot from the point got past Reid Peters to make it 1-0. But Tristin Keck would tie it up at 1 a short time later but former Winkler Flyer Jordan Neduzak would give the Stamps the lead once again to make it 2-1 Swan after 1 period.

The teams would exchange some glorious chances in the middle frame but there would be no scoring.

In the third period, there would only be one goal as Keck would get his 2nd deflection goal on the night beating Landon Noel 5-hole to tie it up at 2 with 5:01 remaining.

Landon Noel would stop 32 shots in the Stamps goal for the win, while Reid Peters stopped 33 shots but was tagged with the shootout loss.

Swan will return to action on Wednesday night when they host the Dauphin Kings 7:30 at the Centennial Arena.
