SJHL Showcase set for Monday & Tuesday in Warman

The 2013 SJHL Showcase will be held today and tomorrow in Warman Saskatchewan.

The showcase is put in place to allow scouts from various levels an opportunity to gather in one place to see the best that the league has to offer.
The top 120 players, as determined by the league’s coaches, will play a series of games on Monday and Tuesday with practise sessions being held each morning to prepare the players for the day’s activities.
The list of players have been divided into three groups: 16-17 year olds, 17-18 year olds and 19-20 year olds. There will be two teams in each group with those clubs facing each other twice – once on Monday and again on Tuesday.
Games will be held on Monday at 2:15 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. with the second round of matches scheduled for 11:45 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Admission is free for all of the games and there will also be no charge for a special game on Sunday at 2 p.m. when the province’s top 14-year-olds (players born in 1999) will take to the ice.
