Terriers fall at home 4-0 to the Battlefords.

The Yorkton Terriers' record fell to 1-2 on the young SJHL season as they fell 4-0 to the Battlefords North Stars who got their first win of the season.

The game was scoreless after a very good, fast first period with Terriers outshooting the Stars 12-7.

But in the 2nd the North Stars came out flying and capitalized on a early powerplay with a goal from Blake Young to make it 1-0. They would make it 2-0 as Igor Leonenko got his 2nd of the season on a nice and go with Jake McMillen. The North Stars would increase their lead to 3-0 when Robin Carlson would get one past Kale Thomson with just over a minute in the powerplay.

The teams would once again go back and forth early in the erd, with the Terriers hitting 2 or 3 posts, but couldn't beat Casey Parker. Ryne Keller would get the last goal of the game for the North Stars to give them a 4-0 victory.

Casey Parker stopped 33 shots to earn his first shutout of the season, while Kale Thomson stopped 22 of 26 in a losing cause in the Terriers net.

The Terriers next action will be on Saturday night when they host the Estevan Bruins at 7:30 from the FAA.
