Saturday Night Recap

The Yorkton Terriers were able to get a point in Nipawin but they would fall in the shootout to the hometown Hawks 4-3.

Cortlan Proctor, Josh Ellis and Brady Norrish all scored for the Terriers while Kale Thomson stopped 50 of 53 shots for the Terriers in a losing cause. Mitch Doell got the shootout win for the Hawks. 

The Terriers next action will be on Thursday when they start a two game road trip in La Ronge against the Ice Wolves for a couple games Thursday and Friday.

In the MJHL,

The Swan Valley Stampeders lost their 2nd straight as they fell 2-1 to the Defending Turnbull Cup champions, the Steinbach Pistons. 

Carter Johnson got the lone goal for the Stamps while Nathan Armstrong got the start for Swan Valley and turned aside 45 of 47 shots for the loss.

The Stamps will finish off their 3 games in 3 nights today in Winnipeg against the Blues.
