It would stay like that until the late stages of the 1st when Shawn Bowles would finish off a nice passing play and put home his 3rd of the post season to make it a 2-0 Terrier lead after 20 minutes

The Terriers would blow things open once again in the middle frame as they would get goals from Tyler Jeanson, Matt Alexander, Chase Faulkner and Dane Schioler to help the home team to take a 6-0 strangle hold after 2 periods.

The number 1 ranked team in the nation wouldn't take long to add to their lead as just 18 seconds into the 3rd frame on a 5 on 3 power play, Matt Alexander would hammer home his 2nd of the night, before Shawn Bowles would get his 2nd of the evening late to give Terriers a 8-0 win on home ice.
