Yorkton's Kunkel named new President of Golf Saskatchewan

Golf Saskatchewan, which is the governing body amateur golf in the province held their annual general meeting virtually on Saturday and they elected a new President.

Yorkton product Don Kunkel was named the new Golf Sask President after serving the past couple years as Vice-President.

Kunkel told Golf Saskatchewan in a interview It’s pretty humbling,“It’s good to give back, I am as passionate about golf, maybe more so than hockey. They got to me first in hockey, they got the first 25 years of my life after I quit playing,”

Kunkel, who owns the “Owl’s Nest” at the Deer Park Municipal Golf Course in Yorkton first joined the board of directors 7 years ago
