SJHL

MILLIONAIRES 2, HAWKS 4

The Nipawin Hawks got the best of their former bench boss on Tuesday night doubling up Doug Johnson & the Melville Millionaires 4-2 at the Cage.

Cole Fox and Artem Hrabovetsky got the Hawks out to a 2-0 lead in the first before Zach Bansley's shorthanded marker cut the Mils deficit to one through 20 minutes.

The Hawks added to their lead in the 2nd late as Evan Forrest banged home a rebound past Ethan Rau making it 3-1 after 2 periods.

It stayed like that until 3:55 left in regulation as Millionaires' rookie Luc Bydal sniped home his 6th of the season to make it 3-2 but Hrabovetsky added another PP goal late to wrap up the scoring.

Hawks goalie Damon Cunningham turned aside 32 of 34 Millionaire shots to earn his 6th win of the season, while Ethan Rau made 34 saves in the loss.

The Millionaires return to action on Friday night on home ice against the Estevan Bruins.
