Saturday Night Recap

The Yorkton Terriers only got 1 out of a possible 4 points on their northern road trip after falling 4-1 to the Nipawin Hawks.

Kailum Gervais had the lone goal while Dawson McAuley stopped 23 shots in a losing cause

The Terriers return to action on Thursday when they host the La Ronge Ice Wolves 7:30 FAA

The Melville Millionaires won their 5th straight a 5-0 shutout victory over the Notre Dame Hounds.

Ian McNulty (2G 1A) and Sean Aschim (1G 2A) each had 3 points while Russell Trudeau and Adam Dibella also scored. Alex Wakaluk stopped 25 shots for the shutout.

The WayWay Wolverines won their 3rd straight game with a 2-1 victory over the visiting Steinbach Pistons.

Kyle Threndyle and Brett Lafond got the goals while Brenden Fiebelkorn stopped 37 shots for his 2nd straight victory.

The Swan Vallley Stampeders got back on the winning track with a 3-2 win over the Virden Oil Capitals.

BJ Avery, Max Flanagan and Colin Baudry got the goals while Landon Noel stopped 36 shots for the victory.

The Stamps will go right back at it when they host the Steinbach Pistons on Sunday at 6:00 at the Centennial Arena.

  1. The Mills have been playing outstanding lately. They are using the body and are playing a solid 60 minutes. Alex Wakulak is one of the best goalies in the league. If the Mills keeping playing this way they will be sure to be one of the top teams to beat. With the acquistion of Tyson Predniuchuk he should be a real help.

  2. Meanwhile as teams all around them got better....the Terriers did absolutely nothing to improve their goaltending. Can't wait to watch the Terriers lose to the Mils again this year!
