Terriers drop a 4-3 overtime decision to La Ronge

The Yorkton Terriers started their northern roadtrip on the wrong foot but they did get a point as they fell 4-3 to the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Wolves forward Sebastian Beaurgard scored with 2:10 left in overtime to seal the victory.

Dylan Johnson opened the scoring for the Terriers with his 4th goal of the season but Brett McNevin would reply in the first as well to tie it up at 1 after one period.

Terriers' would regain their one goal lead in the 2nd as Jeremy Johnson would finish off a nice passing play and net his 18th of the season to make it 2-1. But a minute later , Wolves' Spencer Brennan would reply on the Powerplay to make it 2-2 after 40 minutes.

In the 3rd it would be La Ronge getting their first lead of the game as Brett McNevin would get his 2nd of the game and 11th of the season to make it 3-2 Wolves. But with 1:36 remaining Zak Majkowski would pull the game even once again with his 11th and that made it 3-3 after regulation.

Terriers' Kale Thomson stopped 35 of 39 but was tagged with the OT loss, while Myles Hovedebo stopped 38 shots for the win.

The Terriers will be Nipawin on Saturday at 7:30.
