Wolverines get outlasted by Dauphin; Mils & Terriers both win on Tuesday night

The Dauphin Kings scored 5 unanswered goals in final two frames as they defeated the Wayway Wolverines 8-2 on Tuesday night.

Jon Gaudet would get things on the powerplay his 21st, but the Wolverines would come right back just 2 seconds into their 1st powerplay as Brett Pinkerton would get his 18th to tie it up at 1. But Mitch Van Teeling would get a powerplay goal towards end of the period to give Dauphin a 2-1 lead after 1.

Blake Kirkham would give the Kings a 2 goal lead just 55 seconds into the 2nd period, but Brett Lafond would reply right back for the Wolverines to make it a 3-2 game. But the next 5 goals in the next two frames would be all scored but the Kings as Francis Alarie (2), Tyler Garrioch, Tanner Butler and Jon Gaudet would get his 2nd of the night to give the Kings a 8-2 victory.

The Kings powerplay was the difference going 4 for 5 in the hockey game.

Brenden Fiebelkorn stopped 16 of 20 shots before being relieved by Cory Simons who stopped 26 of 30 shots in the loss.

Wayway will return to action on Thursday when they visit the Winnipeg Blues at 7:30

The Melville Millionaires got back on the winning track as they defeated the visiting Flin Flon Bombers 3-2 on Tuesday.

Nathan Boyer, Alex Elliot and Michael Sagen would get the Mils' goals who got 34 saves from Alex Wakaluk for the victory.

The Mils will visit Melfort on Wednesday night, pre game show 7:20, play by play at 7:30 on GX94.

The Yorkton Terriers outshot the Weyburn Red Wings 45-10 but just snuck out a 4-3 victory over the Red Wings.

Kailum Gervais, Zak Majkowski, John Odgers and Dylan Johnson (GWG) got the Terriers goals.

Weyburn goalie JP Boucher was the difference stopping 41 shots despite the loss, while Kale Thomson stopped 7 shots for the victory.

The Terriers will return to action Wednesday when they visit the Humboldt Broncos at 7:30
