Field now set for 2015 Sasktel Provincial Men's Tankard in Melville

 

The sixteen team field has now been set that will compete at the 2015 SaskTel Provincial Men's Tankard that takes place February 4th-8th at the Horizon Credit Union Center in Melville.

Pre Qualifiers included Saltcoats product and defending champion Steve Laycock who along Jason Jacobson of Saskatoon earned qualifying berths from the Canadian Team Ranking System. 

Players Championship winner Kevin Marsh of Saskatoon will also be in Melville, along with Regina's Scott Bitz who is the wild card team as he has the highest points accumulated through the Sask Curling Tour and CTRS events.

And the final two berths went pair of Regina rinks of Jason Ackerman and Randy Bryden who earned their way thru success on the Sask Curling Tour.

The 10 other berths were awarded this weekend at the Northern and Southern playdowns in Prince Albert & Regina respectively.

At the Northerns in Prince Albert the qualifiers include Yorkton's Terry Martenuik (A Side), B-Side Qualifiers Dale Craig (Saskatoon) and Drew Heidt of Unity. Meanwhile on C-Side,  Langenburg's Jeff Hartung & Michael Carss (Saskatoon) also booked their ticket into the Tankard.

At the Southerns in Regina, the A-Side Qualifiers was Brent Gedak of Estevan. On the B-Side , qualifying was Joel Jordison of Moose Jaw & Josh Heidt (Kerrobert). Finally on the C-Side qualifying today was Jamie Schneider and Erwin Hanley both of Regina.
