The Yorkton Terriers are hosting their Annual Sportsmen's Dinner on Saturday January 17, 2015. The dinner will take place at the Gallagher Centre. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 pm, dinner will follow at 6:30 pm and program to follow the dinner.

This year's guest speakers are retired 15 year NHL veteran Rich Pilon (pictured right) and former wide receiver of the Saskatchewan Rough Riders Don Narcisse (pictured left

Rich Pilon is from Saskatoon, SK where he was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 7th round, 143rd overall in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.

Pilon made his NHL debut in the 1988-1989, playing 62 games, recording 14 assists and 242 penalty minutes for the New York Islanders. He would play 10 season there before being claimed on waivers December 1, 1999 by the New York Rangers. He played parts of two seasons as a Ranger. Was traded to the San Jose Sharks for a 7th round draft pick, days before he became an unrestricted free agent in 2001. He was then signed by the St. Louis Blues on July 10, 2001. He played 8 games for the Blues until he suffered a broken left wrist in a game against the Rangers that subsequently ended his NHL career.

Rich is now coaching hockey in Saskatoon and following his son Garrett Pilon who was drafted by the Kamloops Blazers in the 7th round of the WHL Bantam Draft in 2013. Garrett, currently leads the SMAAAHL in scoring with 55 points in 27 games with the Saskatoon Contacts. Rich is an assistant coach with the Saskatoon Contacts in the SMAAAHL and is also an assistant coach with the Saskatchewan Under 16 Team that is participating in the Canada Winter Games next month in Prince George, BC.

Donald Narcisse (born February 26, 1965) is a former wide receiver for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Texas Southern University. He signed with Saskatchewan as a free agent on September 1, 1987.

A smaller player at 5'9" and 170 pounds, Don was effective at short yardage plays, often in situations needing a 1st down. As a result of rarely being injured and giving strong on field performances, Don shared and held a few records. He had over 1000+ receiving yards for 7 consecutive seasons from 1989-1995 including a career high 1419 yards in 1989.

Don was a popular and respected man due to his positive and warm nature towards fans, players and media. His community involvement became much appreciated throughout his career. His most well-known contribution was the "Catch For Kids" program with SaskEnergy on behalf of Kidsport Saskatchewan which began in 1998. The program has evolved to include a charity Saskatchewan Roughrider player calendar, as well as charity bowling event which today raises more than $100,000 annually for Kidsport. That same season, the Leader Post newspaper ranked him as # 7 on their list of 50 greatest Roughrider players. He won a Grey Cup with the Riders in 1989 and reached the finals again in 1997. After spending his entire career with the Roughriders, Don retired at the conclusion of the 1999 season.

Tickets for this year's Sportmen's Dinner are $60 individually or $450 for a table of 8. Tickets can be purchased through Terrier Board Member Dean Percival at (306) 782 1419 or dspercival@yahoo.ca.
