Wolverines; Stampeders drop MJHL preseason games on Wednesday

 STAMPEDERS 2, BLIZZARD 6 

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their 2nd game of the preseason on Wednesday night, falling 6-2 to the OCN Blizzard. 


Riley Zimmerman had 2 goals, while Drew Peters had 1G 3A to lead the Blizzard offensively while Aaron Lorenz, Max Mazur and Brock McDonald also scored. 


Brad Fortin and Isaac Gordon replied for the Stampeders. 


Swan Valley will return to action tonight (Thurs) when they host the Dauphin Kings from the Centennial Arena in Swan River.

WOLVERINES 3, TITANS 4 (OT) 

Connor Brust scored the game winner just 1:55 into overtime to lead the Neepawa Titans to a 4-3 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Wednesday. 

Cade Bendsten, Will Highet, and Cameron Trimble also scored for Neepawa, while Eli Reimer, Tristen Bear and Troy Hamilton replied for Wayway. 

Titans' goalie Tyson Gregory made 27 saves to net the win, while Wayway G Tresor Wotton turned aside 26 of 30 shots in the loss. 

The Wolverines' next game will be on Friday when they visit the Swan Valley Stampeders.
