The Yorkton Terriers might have had a 8 day layoff but they didn't miss a beat as they won their 7th straight game with a 6-1 victory over the Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday night.
Tyler Giebel would open the scoring for the Terriers with his 20th goal of the season and the Terriers would have 1-0 lead after 1 period of play.
The 2nd period would consist of a little bit of everything including 4 goals (3 for the Terriers and 1 for the Hounds ) and also a very, very good scrap between John Odgers and Dion Antisin. Josh Ellis would open the scoring in the middle for his 1st goal in the SJHL to give the Terriers a 2-0 lead. Then the next two goals would come on the powerplay for the Terriers and it would be the brother act as both Brady Norrish and Chase Norrish would get PP goals by one-timers from the point and both with their 7th goals of the season to give the Terriers a 4 goal lead. But before the end of the middle frame the Hounds would get on the board as Josh Bruha would capitalize on a rebound and put it past Terriers' goalie Dawson McAuley to make it a 4-1 Yorkton lead after 40 minutes of play.
In the third period, Patrick Martens (23) and Kailum Gervais (12) would reply with two more markers for the Terriers to give them a 6-1 victory.
Dawson McAuley would get his 7th straight win in the Terriers net stopping 21 of 22 shots while Michael Salmon stopped 36 shots in a losing cause for the Hounds.
