Mils'; Wolverines pull out victories on Tuesday night.

The Melville Millionaires have won their 8th game in a row as they defeat the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2.

Ian McNulty opened the scoring for the Mils with his 25th goal of the season as he banged home the lose puck home to give the Mils a 1-0 after 1 period.

Just over 9 minutes into the 2nd period Russell Trudeau would give his team 2 goal lead with his 29th goal of the season after a beauty pass cross crease by Brennan Ritchie.  But the Hounds would reply with their 1st of the night shortly after as Dylan McIntosh would direct a puck onto the net that went off a couple legs and in to make it 2-1. But Melville would regain their 2 goal lead as Nathan Boyer would get his 24th goal putting it top shelf on Ty Reichenbach to make it 3-1 Mils after 40 minutes.

The Hounds would make it interesting as they would cut the lead to 3-2 when Cory Anderson would get credited with the marker but that's how far they would get as Christian Magnus would slip an insurance marker past the goaltender to make it a 4-2 Mils win.

Alex Wakaluk stopped 26 shots in a winning cause while Ty Reichenbach stopped 39 shots and was tagged with the loss.

The Mils now sit just 1 point behind Yorkton for 1st place but the Terriers have 2 games in hand. They now have only 3 games remaining and their next game will be on Tuesday when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings on GX94.

The Wayway Wolverines maybe one of their biggest victories of the season as they upended the Winnipeg Blues 4-1, snapping the Blues 12 game winning streak in the progress.

Matt Miller led the way for the Wolverines with 2 goals while Brendan Luschinski and Drake Bodie would reply with the others while Zaine Walker and David Haaf each chipped in with 2 assists each.

Brenden Fiebelkorn stopped 31 of 32 shots to get the victory in net. They now sit 6 points ahead of Winkler for the final playoff spot in Sherwood.

They will be in action on Friday when they visit the Swan Valley Stampeders. GX94 will broadcast game starting with pregame 7:20, Pxp 7:30
