Wolverines win 4th straight 6-2 over Neepawa

The Wayway Wolverines continued where they left off from Friday night as they won their 4th in a row, 6-2 over the Neepawa Natives.

Alex Mills would open the scoring and get the lone goal of the 1st period his 1st MJHL goal to give WayWay a 1-0 lead after 1 period.

The Wolverines would start off the 2nd like the 1st as Brett Lafond would get his team a 2-0 lead but just 14 seconds later Neepawa would get on the board as TJ Sneath would make it a 2-1. Drake Bodie would make it 3-1 with his 10th goal of the season and Lafond would add his 2nd of night and 5th in 2 games to give the Wolverines a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes .

Mills would get his 2nd of the night as his long shot from the point would beet Natives' goalie Kohlman to make it a 5-1 lead. Neepawa would get one more before time would run out as Derrick Brooks would cut it within 3 at 5-2. Brenden Luchinski would get the final goal of the game in the last minute to give the Wolverines 6-2 win.

Brenden Fiebelkorn was the winner in the Wayway goal while Matt Kohlman was losing goalie. (Shots unavailable)

WayWay will look for their 5th straight win on Tuesday when they host the Swan Ey Stampeders at 7:30 Wayway Arena Complex.
