The Wayway Wolverines got out to an early 3-0 lead and didn't look back as they defeated Swan Valley 6-3.
Brett Pinkerton would open the scoring for the Wolverines on the powerplay and then Brett Lafond would add two more in the 1st to give Wayway a 3-0 lead after 1 period.
Lafond would complete the natural hat trick early the 2nd period, to give the Wolverines a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes as Jordan Neduzak would get the Stamps on the board.
The Stamps would make it interesting as Garrett Johnston and Kyle Smart would cut the lead to 1 goal making it 4-3, but Zane Morin and Russell Turner would add 2 more for the visitors to give them the 6-3 victory.
Cory Simons stopped 29 shots for the victory while Landon Noel stopped 36 shots in a losing cause.
The Wolves will visit Neepawa on Sunday on GX94, pregame show 6:20, PXP 6:30, while Swans next game will be Tuesday when they visit the Wayway Wolverines.

The Yorkton Terriers got their win streak snapped but they did get a point in Flin FLon as they fell 3-2 in the shootout against the Bombers.
Tyler Giebel and Jeremy Johnson would get the Terriers goals, while Dawson McAuley stopped 30 shots to get tagged with the shootout loss.
The Terriers will go right back at it when they visit the red hot Nipawin Hawks on Saturday at 7:30
