Its a move to a little bit closer to home and little bit closer to where he played his Junior hockey, but Ian McNulty is back in Canada playing hockey. The reigning SJHL Player of the Year Ian McNulty has joined the CIS' University of Regina Cougars for the 2nd half of the season and beyond.
In 15 games for the Southern Professional Hockey League's Columbus Cottonmouths, the Airdire Alberta native had 3 goals and 3 assists and 6 points.
McNulty spent his whole SJHL career with the Melville Millionaires, compiling 73 goals, 101 assists for 174 points in 153 career games, which ranks him number 2 all-time in scoring in Millionaires history.
He will join former Millionaires Jordan Reeve, Tyler Murray and Christian Magnus. Also on the Cougars are former Terriers' John Neibrandt and Austin Bourhis along with Canora's Skyler Hladun.
