Brooklyn Platt and MacKenzie McCallum had a special connection Tuesday night, combining to score the first and second goals in the Pembina Valley Hawks' 4-1 win over the Durham West Lightning at the 2017 Esso Cup in Morden, Manitoba.
Swan River's Kaila Powell had 1 assists in the win for the Hawks.
With just two days left in the preliminary round, securing points is becoming far more important. On Day 4 action, Pembina Valley meets the Harfangs du Triolet, two teams with two wins and looking for a chance to move up the standings.
