The Yorkton Terriers lost their 3rd straight decision to the Battlefords on Friday night falling 7-4 to the North Stars on the road.
It didn't take long for the home side to get a nice bounce as the puck would take a funny bounce off the end boards right to Quin Loon-Stewardson who slipped it five-hole on Andrew Henderson to give the Stars an early 1-0 lead. Just 5:14 later, the Terriers would respond as Chantz Petruic would go short-side shelf for his 25th of the season to make it 1-1. The visitors would grab their first lead at 2-1 just a few minutes later, as Cody Bruchkowski would snipe home his 20th of the year. But that lead wouldn't last long as 20 seconds later Eli Loon-Stewardson went forehand-backhand shelf to even it up at 2-2 after 20 minutes.
In the 2nd, the North Stars would grab control with a couple of goals back to back from 20 year old veterans McGregor Sinclair and Brayden Buziak that gave the North Stars their first two goal lead at 4-2. The Terriers would cut their deficit in half and make it a one goal game once again as Colby Brandt one-timed home a nice cross-ice pass from Chantz Petruic to cut it a 4-3 game after 2 periods.
The North Stars would regain their two goal lead just 15 seconds later, as Seth Summers beat Andrew Henderson five-hole for his 1st SJHL goal to make it 5-3. The North Stars would add a couple more in the third from McGregor Sinclair and Eli Loon-Stewardson (both 2nd of the nights) while Chantz Petruic would add his 2nd of the game to wrap up the scoring.
