On WHL Draft Day there was a blockbuster trade completed between the Calgary Hitmen and Moose Jaw Warriors that involved a local product.
Yorkton's Ryder Korczak along with D Vladislav Yeryomenko, a 2019 1st round pick and 2021 2nd round pick were traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for Vancouver Canucks prospect Jett Woo.
Korczak adds it's a new experience being traded
"It's my first time get traded so it's a weird experience, but in saying that I'm looking forward to my new opportunity with Moose Jaw."
Korczak had 15 points in 50 games with the Hitmen in his rookie season in the WHL.
