The Swan Valley Stampeders had their 4 game winning streak snapped on Friday night falling 6-5 to the visiting Winnipeg Freeze.
Lochlan Stefanyshin scored twice to lead the way for the Freeze who got singles from Hayden Chaloner, Naaman Hofer, Nathan Lenoski and Davis Thompson.
Justin Keck led the way for the Stampeders with 2 goals while Jakob Jones, Landon Gulutzan and Adam Rajsigl also scored.
Keegan Gordon made 47 saves on 52 shots to earn the win in goal while Loic Mainguy-Crepault made 23 saves in the loss.
The Stampeders return to action on Saturday night hosting the Winkler Flyers.

In the SJHL,
The Melville Millionaires dropped their 2nd straight after a 9-2 loss to the Battlefords North Stars.
Issac Suppin and Caden Drury scored the lone markers for the Mils.
The Stars top line of Jake Southgate (3G), Kian Bell (1G 2A), and Holden Doell (1G 3A) combined for 10 points in the win.
Bradley Blake, Steven Kesslering and Colby Bear (2) also scored for Battlefords.
The Millionaires wrap up their weekend roadie on Saturday visiting the Kindersley Klippers.
