Terriers snap slide after road victory on Wednesday in Kindersley

The Yorkton Terriers snap their 6 game losing streak on Wednesday night after 5-4 comeback win over the Kindersley Klippers at the WCEC.

The Klippers got the opening goal at 5:46 of the first as Nathan DeGraves walked in and beat Terrier G Caleb Allen for his 3rd of the year to make it 1-0.

Cohner Saleski tied it up though for the Terriers just under 5 minutes later as on his breakaway chance, he snapped it over the right shoulder of Cody Jaman for his 7th making it 1-1.

But Alex Mack answered for Kindersley just 46 seconds later as he tapped in a rebound past Allen for his 3rd to give his team the lead into the first intermission.

The Terriers even things up just 46 seconds into the 2nd frame as Dylan Ruptash took a stretch feed from Clay Sleeva and made no mistake sliding home his team-leading 21st of the season.

Logan Linklater responded though before the second could end as going post and in to give the home team a lead heading into the third period.

In that 3rd period, the Terriers came out in a big way netting three in a span of 1:27 as Maddux Nollski, Karsten Kruska, and Greg Nelson all hit the back of the net to give the Terriers a 5-3 lead before Tylan Hilbig got a late goal in the final seconds but that's as close as they would get.

Caleb Allen turned aside 37 of 41 shots to earn the victory in the Terrier goal, while Klipper G Cody Jaman made 22 saves in the loss.

The Terriers return to action on Saturday visiting the Estevan Bruins while the Klippers host the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday.
