The Swan Valley Stampeders suffered their first defeat of the preseason on Wednesday, 5-0 to the hometown Dauphin Kings.
Grady Nicholas (21 saves on 23 shots) and Michael O'Sullivan (21 saves on 24 shots) split the goaltending duties for the Stampeders.
Mon. Sept 4th/23:
The Swan Valley Stampeders improved to 2-0 in exhibition play after a 5-1 road victory over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Monday night in Russell.
Darius Makse and Callum Halls each had 1G 1A each to lead the Stamps while Ashton Cure, Griffin Ayotte and Alex Walicki also scored.
Andrew Pidskalny and Keaton Johnson chipped in with 2 assists each,
Wolverines' F Ben Roulette replied with the lone marker for Waywayseecappo.
Bennett Reinhard (18 saves on 19 shots) and Elias Giaccari-Dimitron (14 saves on 14 shots) split the goaltending duties for Swan Valley.
Sun. Sept 3rd/23:
2022 draft pick Ashton Cure had 1G 1A while Michael O'Sullivan & Connor Hatfield combined for a 20 save shutout to lead the Swan Valley Stampeders to a 4-0 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in the annual Rookie game in Swan River.
Callum Halls, Colin Kwak and Riley Fequet also scored for the Stampeders.
The two teams will meet once again meet on Monday night starting at 6PM MB time from the Russell Multiplex.
