The Yorkton Terriers
received 2004-born forward Tate Schofer from the WHL's Moose Jaw Warriors.
The Terriers acquired his CJHL rights from the Weyburn Red Wings in
exchange for 2004-born Defenceman Ashton Funk.
Schofer hails from
Regina had 13 points in just over 100 career WHL games with the
Warriors.
“Tate
brings lots of experience with him playing Major Junior. He can be a mentor to
our younger players and we will benefit greatly from his high
compete level, and we feel like this will be a great addition to a a deep
forward group that we have here in Yorkton,” said Terriers Head Coach & GM Emery Olauson.
Funk, played
30 games in Terriers uniform last season, putting up two goals and seven
assists.
