Sacred Heart Saints Senior Girls Soccer earns Provincial silver

Sacred Heart Saints of Yorkton girls soccer team lost 3-2 to a very tough Saskatoon team  in the Godl medal match at the  2A Provincial Soccer championships Saturday, In Saskatoon.The Victors Bishop John Mahoney Saints of Saskatoon - claimed their thirdstraight 2A girls soccer championship after sweeping aside Humboldt 5-0 and Notre Dame 5-2.Sacred Heart advanced to claim the silver medal on two shut out victories 5-0 over Regina Sheldon and 6-0 over Regina Miller.

While in Warman, Sacred heart 2A Boys team lost their opening match 1-0 to Regina s Miller and then defeatd Humboldt 3-2 before falling 4-0 to Moose Jaw CentralSaskatoon s Evan Hardy boys defeated Miller 3-1 to claim the 2A provincial championship.The weekend tournament completes the soccer season for the sacred Heart teams although some of the players will now go on to play competitive indoor soccer over the winter.
