The Swan Valley Stampeders (7-4-1) continued their winning ways and made it 5 straight wins as they defeated the hometown Virden Oil Capitals 4-3 at Tundra Oil and Gas Place in Virden.
As the game started off a little slowish, both teams would trade very good chances but it would be Virden getting the only goal in the period as Jon Gaudet captialized on a Stamps turnover and made no mistake to put it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

The Stamps would even the game 11:13 into the 2nd period as Riley Hiebert's shot made a rebound Swan captain Dylan Reimer put it short side on 'Caps goalie Kyler Beckett for his 1st of 2 on the night to tie it at 1. Then with under a minute to go in the 2nd, a mad scramble in front of the Virden goal and get the last stick on it was Dylan Favell who put it five-hole and that gave Swan a 2-1 lead going into the 3rd.

The last frame would open up with the Oil Caps evening the game at 2 as Richard Olson took a back door feed and put it past goalie Landon Noel for the games only powerplay goal. But at 11:21 of the 3rd, the Stamps would pull away for good as Mitchell Eisenberg would pull the Stamps away for good as he got the game winner on a beauty goal for his 2nd of the season since coming from the Erie Otters of the OHL. Reimer would add the insurance into the empty net with 9 seconds left for his 2nd to make the final 4-2.

Elsewhere, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines dropped their 2nd straight a 6-3 decision in Selkirk. Curtis Veitch, Drake Bodie and David Haaf the goal scorers. Riley Feser got the start in goal and stopped 30 of 35 shots but was tagged with the loss. The loss drops the Wolves record to 5-8-2.
Way Way will return to action on Saturday against the Winkler Flyers.

In Kindersley, the Melville Millionaires improved their Sherwood conference leading record to 11-2-0-1 by beating the Kindersley Klippers 8-3 on Friday night. The line of Ian McNulty, Russell Trudeau and Christian Magnus each had 4 points to lead the Millionaires. Russell Trudeau (2), TJ Reeve (2), Christian Magnus, Lucas Froese, Dirk De Waal and Ian McNulty with the goals. Alex Wakaluk stopped 19 of 22 for his 8th win of the year.
Mils will contunue road trip on Saturday in Melfort.
