The Swan Valley Stampeders (3-4-0-1) defeated the Way Wayseecappo Wolverines (4-5-0-1) 3-1 at home in Swan River. Dylan Reimer opened the scoring for the Stamps before Wolverine forward Zaine Walker tied it midway through the 2nd. Max Flanagan would regain the 1 goal lead for the Stamps on the Powerplay late in the middle frame. Justin Valentono would ice it late for the Stamps to make it 3-1.
Alcide Grenier stopped 30 shots for the victory while Wolverine goalie Cory Simons stopped 38 out of 40 to take the loss.
The next game for Swan Valley will be Friday when they start a swing in Portage against the Terriers. 7:20 MB Pre game, 7:30 MB play by play with Yorkton Dodge Junior hockey on GX94. While Way Way will hit the road on Friday against the OCN Blizzard in the Pas.
