So what did our local teams do on Trade Deadline Day?

For the Melville Millionaires who did a lot of their work on Thursday, on Saturday they added 18 year old Regina product F Mitch Lipon from the WHL's Spokane Chiefs. Lipon has played in 69 WHL games with the Kamloops Blazers, Saskatoon Blades & Spokane Chiefs in his career compiling 8 goals 7 assists for 15 points. So far this season with the Chiefs, he had 2 goals in 11 games. The Mils also got back 19 year old forward Tyson Predinchuk back from the Portland Winterhawks 

Meanwhile their Highway 10 rivals, the Yorkton Terriers also made a couple moves. First they dealt 20 year old Kurt Johnas back to the Virden Oil Capitals of the MJHL for future considerations. Johnas who was acquired by the Terriers in the off season from the Oil Caps, had 9 goals, 13 assists for 22 points in 37 games this season.

Then after acquiring 19 year old Conner Veroba late Friday from the Kindersley Klippers in the Dylan Baer trade, they the Terriers then sent Veroba to the Flin Flon Bombers for future considerations. 

The Terriers also acquired big 6'6" defenceman Kevin Wolf from the Canmore Eagles for future considerations. The 18 year old St. Paul, Minnesota native had a goal and an assist in 22 games with the Eagles this season. Wolf spent the previous 2 seasons with the Western Hockey League's Seattle Thunderbirds.
