Tremendous Tuesday

The Swan Valley Stampeders got back in the win column in a big way as they hammered the Dauphin Kings 6-0 on Tuesday night.

After a scoreless first period which was controlled mostly by the Kings as they outshot the Stamps 16-9 , but the play of Stamps goalie Graham Hunt was very good in the opening frame.

In the 2nd period, the Stamps would take over as just 2:53 in, Evan Akkerman would bang home his 1st as a Stampeder to make it a 1-0 game. Short time later, Tristan Langan's wrap around would slip past the sliding Connor Shaw for his 7th of the season to make it 2-0 SV. Then late in the period, Akkerman would get his 2nd goal of the frame as he would take a nice feed in front from Langan and slam it into th empty net to give the Stamps a 3 goal lead after 40 minutes.

The Stamps would continue their dominance in 3rd as they added 3 goals in the final frame off the sticks of Braydon McDonald (2) and BJ Avery to give Swan a commanding 6-0 victory.
