Wolverines dropped a 6-2 decision on the road last night in Portage


The Wayway Wolverines were not able to win back to back games this past weekend after a home victory on Friday over Selkirk, the Wolverines dropped a 6-2 decision on the road to the number 1 ranked team in the country the Portage Terriers.

Matt Miller led the way offensively with a 1G 1A while George Spilchal's team leading 18th goal was the other marker. Former Terrier Mitch Wiebe made 28 saves in the loss.

Dane Schioler led for the Terriers with 2G 1A, while Zac Robidoux stopped 16 of 18 shots to get the win between the pipes.

Wayway returns to the ice tomorrow night (Tues) when they entertain the OCN Blizzard at 7:30 from the Wayway Arena Complex.
