The 2013 WMBL season might have ended for the Yorkton Cardinals last night but they went out on exciting fashion as Liam Goodall (pictured above) hit his 2nd home run of the season. a walk-off home run over the fence to lead the Cards over the Millionaires 6-5.
George Santiago, Alnardo Rodriguez and Goodall all had 2 hits each to lead the way at the plate while Kameron Mizzell who came on in relief going 1 and a third innings got the victory on the mound.
On the other side, the Mils got 2 hits each from Math Helms, Kevin Biro and Aaron Gershenfeld while Helms got the loss giving up the walk-off home run in the Bottom of the 9th.
The Cards' will miss the playoffs and end the season with a record of 16-30 while the Melville Millionaires will end regular season with a 28-18 record and will take on the Regina Red Sox in the East Division Semi-Final.
