Red Sox comeback to draw first blood in Game 1 against Melville

The Melville Millionaires got out to an early 3-0 lead but they couldn't hold on as the Regina Red Sox scored 2 in the 6th and 4 more in the 7th to cruise to a 6-4 Game 1 victory over the Millionaires at Pirie Field.

The Mils scored 3 out of their 4 runs in the Bottom of the 4th inning which was helped by a 2-run double by Tyler Enns who was a perfect 3-3 at the plate.

The Red Sox scored their 6 runs in the 6th and 7th innings led by 2nd baseman Hector Rivera who was 3 for 4 at the plate for the Red Sox.

Ryne Drummnds got the win for Regina going 9 innings giving up 4 run on 10 hits while striking out 8 while lefty Callaway Kirkpatrick drew the loss coming in for relief in the 7th.

Red Sox now have 1-0 lead, Game 2 is in Melville tomorrow night (Thurs) 7:05 Pirie Field.
