Hawryluk & Fleury both named to Team Canada U-18

  


Two Local Area Hockey Players have been chosen to represent their country at the upcoming Ivan Hlinka Hockey Tournament in Czech Republic & Slovakia.

Roblin's Jayce Hawryluk (Pictured right) and Carlyle's Hayden Fleury (pictured left) were both named to Team Canada's Under 18 Men's Hockey team yesterday at the completion of their selection camp.

The 17-year old Hawryluk (forward) had 18 goals, and 25 assists for 43 points in 61 games for the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings this past season, meanwhile the 17 year old Fleury (defenseman) had 4 goals and 15 assists for 19 points over 66 games with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League.

Canada will opene the tournament next Monday the Czech Republic while Sweden and Switzerland are the other two teams in Canada's pool. Canada has won the tournament for five consecutive years.
