The Southeast Senior Baseball League Championship series is now set!

The Willowbrook Royals gave the Yorkton Yankees a run for their money by winning the continuation of game 2,  5-4 on a Mike Hrebnik single that prolong ed the series to a third and deciding game on Monday night.

In game 3 the score was tied at 3 heading into the bottom of the 5th where the floodgates opened as the Yankees scored 5 to put the game
out of reach. The Yankees would put up two more in the sixth for a 10-3 series clinching win.

The Yankees and Langenburg Legends will now meet in the Best of 5 SESBL Finals.


Yorkton will be making their 7th straight appearance in the League Final, looking for their 4th consecutive champion & 6th in 7 years.


Meanwhile, Langenburg will look to capture for their first league title since 2002.


Game 1 will go on Wednesday night in Langenburg at 6:15 while Game number 2 is slated for Friday night in Melville at 8PM from Pirie Field.


The rest of series' schedule is yet to be determined.
