Exciting weekend of Lacrosse in Sturgis
Sturgis hosted a successful weekend of lacrosse this past weekend as the town hosted the 2019 Saskatchewan Field Lacrosse Championships.
The host Sturgis Trojans captured 3 medals including capturing Gold in the 13U and 18U categories while earning a Bronze in the 15U division.
13U squad defeated Prince Albert 13-5 to win Gold while 18U Trojans hammered Saskatoon 16-6 in the championship game.
Meanwhile the 15U team won Bronze by slipping by the Yorkton Fighting Pikes 11-10 in overtime.
Saskatoon defeated Prince Albert 11-10 to win the 15U championships.

Deer Park Municipal Golf Course hosts another successful National Event
It was a wet weekend in the Parkland for golf but when it was all settled, Saskatoon's Josh Nagy and Langley's Hyeji Yang came out on top at the 2019 Future Links driven by Acura Prairie Championships held at the Deer Park Municipak Golf Course in Yorkton.
Nagy shot a final-round of 6-under par 66 to finish at -3 to win the Boys title by 7 strokes over Eric Yun of Richmond Hill, Ontario meanwhile Yang captured the Girls title also by 7 strokes by finishing at 11-over par 227.
Yorkton's Ella Kozak fiinished in 11th place overall on the girls side after shooting a final-round of 12 over 84 to finish at +43.
The top 5 boys finishers earned a invite to the Canadian Junior Boys Championships in August in Hartland, NB while the top 5 from the girls will head to Lethbridge, AB for the Canadian Junior Girls Championships that'll begin on July 29th.
