The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has announced that their 2020/21 regular season will tentatively start on Fri, Nov. 6th.
The league is still hoping to get approval to allow for more than 150 fans to attend when the regular season does arrive or the start of the season may have to be delayed.
The Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Hyundai Terriers will both open their regular seasons on home ice on opening night with the Mils hosting Estevan and the Terriers welcoming Humboldt.
The 12 member clubs will each play a 50 game modified schedule with Melville and Yorkton playing the first half of their season until the middle of January against each other along with the Estevan Bruins, Weyburn Red Wings, Humboldt Broncos and Notre Dame Hounds.
The Mils and Terriers will play each other 10 times while playing Estevan & Weyburn 6 times, and Notre Dame & Humboldt 4 times each respectively while playing the remaining 6 other teams in a home & home series in the New Year.
The Battlefords, Kindersley, Melfort, Nipawin, Flin Flon and La Ronge will make up the other group of 6.
