Oct. 10th Local MJHL Recap

 Blizzard 2, Stampeders 6

The Swan Valley Stampeders made it back to back wins over OCN to start their MJHL regular season after they beat the Blizzard 6-2 on Saturday night.

Jackson Zloty, Callum Fortin, Alex Danis and Jayce Nikbahkt each had 1G 1A each to lead the Stamps' while Quinn Mulder and Noah Fladagaer chipped in with singles.

David Queree and Ben Hilhorst had a goal and an assist each to lead the Blizzard.

Mikael Foucher turned aside 41 shots to earn his 2nd straight win in goal.

The two teams will once again play a home and home series next weekend starting on Friday in OCN. GX94 will broadcast the game with the play by play starting at 7PM MB time. You can also catch the game by listening live online at www.gx94radio.com. 


Kings 7, Wolverines 0 

After a 7-3 victory in Dauphin on Friday, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines dropped their home opener on Saturday 7-0 against the Kings. 

Austin Lamotte and Charles Massey had 2 goals each for Dauphin who got other goals from Grady Hobbs, Owen Wareham and Koby Morrisseau.

Matthias Smith made 30 saves for the shutout in the Kings' goal. The Wolverines had Brendan Foreman start and he allowed 6 goals on 35 shots before being relieved for Liam Tereposky who stopped 6 of 7 shots. 

The two teams will face off on Friday night for their 3rd of the 4 game set.
