October 24th SJHL/MJHL Recap

STAMPEDERS 5, WOLVERINES 3

The Swan Valley Stampeders got back in the win column as they defeated the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 5-3 on Saturday night. 

Hayden Delorme (2G 1A) and Quinn Mulder (3A) led the way with 3 points each for the Stamps' while Tyler Park and Carter Cockburn had 1G 1A. 

Noah Fladager had the other marker while Mikael Foucher turned aside 53 shots to get his 4th victory of the season.

Conrad Phillips had two more goals to lead the Wolverines while Leyton Smith had the other.

Brendan Forman made 28 saves in the losing cause.

The two teams will have another home and home series next weekend starting Friday in Swan River. GX94 will broadcast the game starting with the play by play at 7PM MB time from the Centennial Arena.

TERRIERS 3, MILLIONAIRES 1 (PRESEASON)

The Yorkton Hyundai Terriers earned a 3-1 victory on home ice against the Melville Millionaires as the two teams continued their SJHL preseason.

Kaeden Taphorn, Ethan Robson and Steven Norum scored for the Terriers while Mils goal came from forward Kolton Leslie.

Phillipe Bond got the start for the Terriers and made 24 saves in the win while Vaughn Holbeche and Kaleb McEachern spit the goal-tending duties for the Millionaires.

The two teams will do it all again next weekend for a home and home series starting on Friday night in Melville.
