Oct. 8th Local SJHL/MJHL Recap


It was a pretty memorable first SJHL start for Clément Labillois.

The Bonaventure, Quebec stopped all 29 shots he faced for his 1st career shutout to lead the Melville Millionaires to a 2-0 victory over the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday night.

Zach Cain and Nicolas Samson scored the goals for the Millionaires.

Caleb Allen, who suffered his 1st loss of the season made 23 saves on 25 shots.

The Terriers will host Nipawin, while the Millionaires entertain the Flin Flon Bombers both on Tuesday night.

The Swan Valley Stampeders got 32 saves from Loïc Mainguy Crépault to lead them to a 3-2 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Saturday night. 

Jakob Jones and Noah Wilson each had 1G 1A to lead the Stamps, while Adam Rajsigl also scored.

Cole Carlson and Boone Mathison replied for the Wolverines, while netminder Michael Bashaw made 16 saves in the loss.

The Stampeders’ next game will be on Tuesday night visiting the OCN Blizzard. GX94 will broadcast the game from the Gordon Lathlin Memorial Center, with the play by play starting at 7:00PM Manitoba time.
