After capturing their first league title in almost 3 decades, the Saskatoon Blazers have now clinched their spot in the 2023 Telus Cup.
Whitewood product Reese Hamilton and the Blazers beat the host Warman Wildcats 4-3 in overtime on Sunday in the Championship final of the 2023 Telus Cup West Regionals at the Legends Center in Warman.
Tyson Yaremko scored the game winner just 2:52 into the extra period to clinch the win for the Blazers.
Hamilon ended the tournament with 1G 2A, while Foam Lake product and Yorkton Terrier signee Tylan Henrikson who was a member of the Wildcats, had 1G 1A for 2 points in 4 games.
The Blazers will open up their 2023 Telus Cup championships on April. 24th against the rep from Quebec.
