Mils get a point but fall in Shootout in Kindersley

The Melville Millionaires had their 5 game winning streak snapped but did get a point as they fell 3-2 in a Shootout to the Kindersley Klippers.

The Klippers would get on the board in the 1st as Conner Garden would give the Klippers a early 1-0 lead. The Mils would even it up at 1 with their own PP goal as Reed Murray would get his 6th of the season to tie it up at 1 after 1.

The 2nd period would be dominated by the Klippers but once again Isaiah Plett came up very solid in the Mils net and then Chris Stovall would choose to shoot on a 2 on 1 and put it top shelf on Tyrell King to give the Mils a 2-1 lead.

The Mils continue to lead by a goal, until just over 7 minutes left in the 3rd and that's when Stefan Seel would bang one home to even it up at 2 apiece.

Overtime would solve nothing and then in the Shootout, both Marc Debeau and Gio Bombini would score for the Klips while Landon Farrell and Kelvin Walz would not.

Tyrell King stopped 22 shots for the win while Isaiah Plett stopped 31 shots In a losing cause.

The Mils return to action on Friday when they host the Humboldt Broncos at 7:30 from the HCUC.
