Stamps' Decacon; Johnson earn MJHL Monthly Honours





The Swan Valley Stampeders have two players that earned monthly honours for their play in first month of the season in September.

20 year old Mitch Deacon (Port Moody, BC) was named the MJHL's Player of the Month as he had 15 points in 6 games in the month of September and is currently the league's leading scorer. He has been excelling from the start of the season with linemates Max Flanagan and Carter Johnson.

Meanwhile, rookie forward Carter Johnson (Gimli, MB) was named the league's Rookie of the Month for September after recording 9 points in 6 games.

The Stamps next action will be tomorrow night (Thurs) at the MJHL Showcase in Winnipeg when they take on the Portage Terriers. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 6:50MB, pxp 7:00 MB time.
