Mils slow start cost them as they fell 7-4 to the Flin Flon Bombers

The Melville Millionaires had their record drop to 5-3-1-1 on th season as they lost 7-4 to the visiting Flin Flon Bombers on Tuesday night.

Bomber forwards' Cam Blair & Cole McCaig opened the scoring with 2 goals mid way through the 1st period as they give the Bombers an early 2-0 lead.

It was more of the same in the middle frame as the Bombers responded with 3 more goals which included Brett Boehm notching 2 goals and 1 assist the period, while Landon Hiebert replied with the other goal for the Bombers.

In the 3rd the Mils would come out with a little bounce and they would be credited with it shorthanded as Kelvin Walz would notch his 2nd of the season to cut the Bomber lead to four. But the Bombers would reply with another marker as Erik Pederson would notch his 1st of the season to give the Bombers once again a 5 goal lead. But the Mils would try and make a game of it as they would get two quick goals by Colin Mospanchuk and Tyson Predinchuk would make it a 6-3 Bomber lead. But the Bombers would ice it with their 7th goal as McCaig would get his 2nd of the night, that WANs before the Mils would get the last marker of the game in the final minute as Alec Brandrup would continue his hot play from the backend, but it wasn't enough as the Mils fell 7-4 to the Bombers.

Devin Buffalo stopped 42 shots in goal for the win while Isaiah Plett stopped 14 of 19 shots before being relieved by Richard Palmer who stopped 8 of 11 shots.

The Mils will be back in action when they host the La Ronge Ice Wolves at 7:30 from the HCUC
