Scoreboard Saturday

The Melville Millionaires are on the board as they got their first victory of the season last night (Sat) as they doubled up their Highway 10 rivals, the Yorkton Terriers 4-2 at the Horizon Credit Union Center. 

Christian Stevens, Tyson Predinchuk, Tyler Chavez-Leech and Liam Shaw into the empty net scored for the Millionaires. 

Brandon Sookro & McKenzie Welke scored for the Terriers. 

18 year old Brandon Wells made his 1st SJHL start and stopped 31 shots to get his first win as a Millionaire. Jakob Severson suffered his first loss in 3 starts making 30 saves in a losing cause. 

The Terriers next action will be on Wednesday night when they visit the Notre Dame Hounds. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, Pregame 7:50 PxP at 8:00.

The Mils' next action will be on Saturday night when they host the Flin Flon Bombers.

Meanwhile in the MJHL, 

The Wayway Wolverines couldn't make it 2 straight on home ice, as they lost 4-2 to the Dauphin Kings. 

Joe Sutherland and Kevin Takatch scored for the Wolverines who got 29 saves from Greg Harney in the loss. 

The Wolverines next action will be on Wednesday night when they visit the Neepawa Natives. 


Elsewhere, 

The Swan Valley Stampeders have now dropped 6 straight games as they lost 3-0 on the road to the Portage Terriers. 

Keaton Leininger had 2 goals to lead the way for Portage. 

Zach Degraves made 29 saves in the loss. 

Stamps next game will be Wednesday when they host the Virden Oil Capitals.
