Mils; Terriers awared SJHL Player of the Week Honors

The IBAS SJHL Defenseman Of The Week

1997 D Regan Seiferling (Moose Jaw SK) of the Yorkton Terriers.

Seiferling began the week by having his scholarship to RIT for next Fall announced publicly.  He followed it up with a three point performance in two games played, scoring a goal and an assist on Tuesday against Nipawin and then netting a goal Friday against Humboldt.  On the season, Seiferling has 5-goals and 5-assists in 17-games.

The Sasktel SJHL Goaltender Of The Week
1997 G Brandon Wells (Spirit River AB) of the Melville Millionaires.

Wells, who has played in eight straight games since joining the team in mid-October, went 2-0-0-and-1 over the last seven days, compiling a 2.27-GAA and .942-SPCT.  Wells has been the single biggest reason for the Mils’ turnaround as he’s now 5-2-and-1 overall with a 2.95-GAA and a .924-SPCT.

The SJHL Rookie Of The Week
1996 F Cole Filler (North Mankota MN) of the Melville Millionaires.

Filler, who played last year in Kansas City on a U18 club, compiled a 1-goal and 6-assists in 3-games played this past week.  He had two assists in back to back home games against Estevan and Notre Dame before ending the week in Humboldt by factoring in on all three of his club’s goals in a shootout loss.  Filler is up to 4-goals and 11-assists in 15-games on the year.
