The Wayway Wolverines put together a pretty solid road effort in Dauphin on Tuesday night but they came on the short end of a 4-1 defeat to the Kings in their 4th meeting of 6 on the season.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Wolverines grabbed the first lead at the 12:42 mark of the middle frame as one of the newcomers in Tyler Ham would bang home his 2nd goal in as many games for the Wolverines to give Wayway an early 1-0 lead. The Kings would tie it up a short time later as on the power play David Brum would knock home his 7th goal of the season even it up at 1-1. Then just 1:13 later on a nice individual effort would go top shelf on Greg Harney for his 2nd to make it 2-1 Dauphin after 40 minutes.
It would remain as a 1 goal game until just 3:22 left in regulation as Landon Plett would get the insurance marker while Stephen Sisco would slip one into the empty net to complete the scoring a 4-1 Kings win over Wayway.
Jared Schamerhorn stopped 28 of 29 shots for his 6th win of the season while Greg Harney made 19 saves in the loss.
The Wolverines next action will be on Friday night when they start a 2 game road trip in Winnipeg against the Blues.
