Tuesday night Recap

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines (7-8-2) won a goalfest in WayWay as they snapped the Swan Valley Stampeders' (8-5-1) 6 game winning streak with 7-5 victory. Drake Bodie led the way for the Wolverines with a goal and 3 helpers while Russell Turner chipped in with 2 goals and 1 assist. Brenden Luchinski had 2 , and Brett Lafond & Curtis Veitch had the other goals. Riley Hiebert, Landon Peel, Sam Briscoe , Colton Magwood and Justin Valentino had the goals for the Stamps. Cory Simons stopped 34 of 39 shots for the win, while Landon Noel lost for the first time stopping 24 out of 30

The Wolverines return to action on Sunday in Winnipeg, while the Stamps will visit The Pas to battle the OCN Blizzard on Wednesday.

While in the SJHL, the Melville Millionaires (13-2-0-1) overcame a 3-0 deficit and beat the visiting Melfort Mustangs 4-3 for their 7th consecutive victory. Sean Aschim led the way with 3 goals and 1 assist while linemate Lucas Froesegot the other goal. Troy Trombley got the start and was victorious with 27 saves. The Mils return to action Sunday when they host Humboldt.

In Yorkton, Jeremy Johnson, Patrick Martens and Tyler Giebel all scored for the Yorkton Terriers (10-4-0-1) but it wasn't enough as they fell 5-3 to visiting Estevan Bruins. Kale Thomson stopped 21 of 26 for the loss.

The Terriers will begin a lengthy roadtrip starting Friday and Saturday in Kindersley then a matinee in Battlefords on Sunday on GX94.
