Wolverines; Terriers both fall on Tuesday

The Way Way Wolverines modest winning streak is stopped only at one game as they dropped a 2-1 decision to the visiting Virden Oil Capitals on "Pink" night in Waywayseecappo. Richard Olson got both for the Oil Caps while Brendan Luchinski got the lone one for the Wolverines. Riley Feser stopped 18 of 20 shots but was tagged for the loss. Kyler Beckett stopped 25 of 26 to get the W.

The Wolverines go right back at it tomorrow night in the Pas against the OCN Blizzard.

While in Kindersley, the Yorkton Terriers fell in regulation for the first time in 8 games as they lost 4-3 to the Kindersley Klippers. Zak Majkowski, Patrick Martens and Brady Norrish scored for the Terriers. Kale Thomson was tagged for the loss stopping 29 of 33 shots while former Terrier and Calder product Warren Shymko stoppe 56 shots for the W. John Neibrandt played his first game back for the Terriers while Dawson McAuley was the backup to Thomson tonight

The Terriers continue roadtrip Wednesday in the Battlefords.

  1. Shymko stoning the Terriers brings me back to when Danyluk stole the sjhl championship after he was traded to LaRonge. At least this time they tried to trade their goalie out of the sj...but he found his way back. Either that, or they need to stop trading goalies.
